Apologies for the lack of posts recently but I've had a pretty hectic weekend! I went bowling, played mini golf and got a bit merry on Bank Holiday Sunday!
I am currently finishing up my review of 'We Need To Talk About Kevin' which I will post in the next couple of days, but in the meantime here are a few places I visited over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Bowling and Mini Golf.
On Friday myself and my boyfriend visited Lane 7 for a few games of bowling and mini golf. We have never been here before and I was so impressed with not only the service, but the décor inside the building. It has a warehouse feel about it, with exposed lighting and brick combined with hard metal and modern elements.
The price for bowling was £6.00 a game which I thought was rather expensive but it is in the centre of town and I think you also pay for the surroundings that you are in, from the modern bar, to the food, down to the classic photo booth, which I thought was a nice touch. However, if you are a student the price per game is £4.50 and I had forgotten my student card!
The price for mini golf was £4.00 a game which was reasonable for a seven hole course. The custom build all-wood mini golf course was quite tricky at the beginning, as I am used to playing mini golf on grass and it wasn't that easy to keep the ball still in order for you to take your shot, but it was fun nonetheless. Once again, if you are a student you get a discounted price, it is only £2.00 per game!
There are also other activities that you can take part in at Lane 7 such as pool, ping pong and karaoke.
On bank holiday Sunday I went to Spy Bar and Ru Bar in Jesmond, The Slug and Lettuce on the Quayside and Empress in the centre of Newcastle. I had a great day but had one too many Desperados! They are my Achilles heel!
I wore the Aleena Lace Plunge Neck Puffball Mini Dress in Burgundy from Missguided paired with black, suede, spiky Jeffrey Campbell heels.
You can buy the Aleena Lace Plunge Neck Puffball Mini Dress in Burgundy here.
I bought my Jeffrey Campbell heels at the full price of £120 and I am gutted that they are now in the sale for just £40! If you would like to buy them click here.
